A couple of scarecrows in our frontyard this year, Spooky! Ethan helped build a scary skeleton by our front door this year. He loves the monsters, witches and ghosts around this time of the year.

Bugs and Spiders

Ethan found a cicada and was more than happy to show it off to us. Sadly the cicada isn't with us anymore. Ethan's love / hate relationship with spiders on this day was leaning toward love.

Paint Project

Field Trip

Ethan's class went on a field trip to Matthaei Botanical Gardens. It was a beautiful day as we walked along the trails and streams. Everyone used magnifying glasses to look at nature up close. One of the kids exclaimed, "I see nature!".


Snails were very popular to point and poke at along the trail.

Carousel Fun

Ethan watches the Lionel trains go around and Lori and Ethan spin around on the carousel.

Thomas!

We had a 'Day out with Thomas' at the Henry Ford (or as Lori and I refer to as Greenfield Village). The sheer spectacle of seeing Thomas chugging down the track was aweing for Ethan.

Easter

Easter weekend Ethan found all the eggs the bunny had left overnight. He was very fond of the jelly beans as well as his new bike.

Ethan was also very excited about meeting his new cousin Owen in Chicago. Ethan hoped Owen would play with him, maybe when Owen is a bit bigger!

Owen is adorable and we can't wait to see more of him soon too!
